Breath Made Visible: Documentary about the Life of Anna HalprinJames Roose-Evans, author of “Experimental Theatre,” called Anna Halprin one of the most important theatre artists of the 20th century. Since the 1950s, Halprin has sought to redefine dance not just as an art form but as a way to heal and transform people of all ages. She likes to say, "Dance is the breath made visible." That approach and the interesting details of her life are the subject of a new documentary, titled "Breath Made Visible," by Ruedi Gerber. The film opened in early April in San Francisco Bay Area theaters and will soon be playing in theaters around the world.
